“Character is like a tree and reputation its shadow. The shadow is what we think it is and the tree is the real thing.      -Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”     (Prov. 22:1)

Most of this world’s view of God is rooted in how they see you and what your reputation as a follower of God is like.

When God gives any prophetic word, it will never contradict the explicit teaching of Scripture … which, in what the Bible teaches, is true for all times, all people’s and all circumstances.

“Gentlemen, I lost my home in the war. I lost my fortune in the war. I lost everything except my name. My name is not for sale.”      Robert E. Lee     1807-1870

If we weave into our life the threads and fabric of a fallen culture we end up with a culture shaped faith rather than a faith that is meant to shape the culture.

Bramwell, fifty years from now it will matter very little indeed how these people treated us; it will matter a great deal how we dealt with the work of God.”    General William Booth     1829-1912

“Choices are how I define who I am and ultimately who I will one day be.”     – Dr. Ellsworth Kalas
