“…Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17

If you’ve been to church recently, you know that we’re being challenged by James, the brother of Jesus as Pastor Paul is preaching through the book of James.

It seems that the Holy Spirit is working to orchestrate our Global Impact: Poverty weekend just before we dive into extremely important verses about faith and works.

Tonight (Friday), we are gathering at 7 pm at the 2nd story in Nicholasville for Q & A with our guest missionary Jason Drummond. This time will be especially great for anyone who is considering missions or is exploring any kind of calling to service.

Tomorrow:  COPE (Cost of Poverty Experience) will be from 9am -1pm (Chick-fil-a lunch included). It’s still not too late to come, but please text my cell (859-536-8055) today!  if you’d like to come, but have not registered, so that we can be prepared.

On Sunday, Jason will be sharing in both morning worship services, our own Gregg Okkeson will be sharing about Advocacy re: Poverty in the lower auditorium at 9:00 & 10:45, and after both morning worship services there is a Missions Showcase in the Atrium –providing many opportunities to engage with people and organizations who are making a difference in our community and around the world.

I’ll be looking for you!

Show us, Lord Jesus, our place in your Kingdom. Let our faith be alive with good works!

Kerry Dorrell

Pastor of Missions and Worship
