I will never forget walking into Council 1999. The sight of all of our C&MA International Workers parading into the massive arena in the clothing of their service country, waving their flag, and singing in their language was breathtaking! We are so privileged to be part of this global Gospel work called the Christian & Missionary Alliance!

This next week, Paul and I, along with a few other members of our FAC staff and family, will be in Orlando for Council 2019! This bi-annual denominational meeting is always spiritually enriching as we see what God is doing through the C&MA stateside and globally!

If YOU would like to take a peek into the Alliance work (and see the parade!), much of Council will be live-streamed! Go to www.cmalliance.org and click on events.  “Council” will be listed there and they will post a link as available to the live-stream.

To make this Council year even sweeter, we have two of our very own from FAC being commissioned to go overseas: Ed and Julie Mangham (along with their son Tate) and Curtis and Maggie Elliott (and their children Wesley, Nathan and Maia)! Both families will be deployed in August. (We will not be printing their exact service locations due to safety concerns for their teams).

That said, we have an AMAZING opportunity as a church to support the Mangham and Elliott families as they head abroad.  While the Great Commission Fund of our denomination will be paying their salaries, both families have needs for a vehicle and outfitting of their residences. It is the joy of the sending church (that’s us in this case!) to be on the frontlines of raising the finances needed for these items.

On Sunday, June 23, both the Mangham and Elliott families will be interviewed and commissioned in our Sunday morning services.  At that time we will also be sharing more about their needs and their ministries. In the meantime, will you please begin to pray about how God may be asking you to partner with them?  This is a tangible way that we at FAC are expanding the OUT movement of our new vision, and it is exciting!
