The Message is Hope

First Alliance Church

This coming Sunday is a very important day in the life of our church: Vision Sunday. It is the culmination of a great deal of prayer, a lot of listening, and a hard look at our journey as a church.

When a church gathers and collectively focuses on its future on a Sunday like this, there is always a sense of anticipation. We know that God is ahead of us preparing the good works that He has created for us to do.

That is exciting! At the same time, it can feel very uncertain. A church vision will call for courage, faith and new action. It will ask much of us. That can be very hard.

The Christian & Missionary Alliance has always been led by a vision that calls for full engagement in the mission of God in world. We believe that at First Alliance, our new mission and vision statements do just that. And He is worth it.

Sunday morning we will begin to unpack the new mission statement and take a look at God’s Word together. Sunday night will be much more about the nuts and bolts of the mission, vision, values and strategies that will be guiding our future as a church. I would love for you to attend both morning and night to get a fuller picture of what we believe God has for us as a church.

I ask that as we approach this Sunday you take at least 10-15 minutes in personal prayer before the Lord. Would you bathe this Sunday in prayer? Would you ask that God be glorified? Would you ask that He do what only He can do? I will be joining you in those prayers.

I will see you Sunday!
