November 15 – December 13
Family Life Center – Dining Room
Led by Dan Bransom
In a 24/7 world we need a 24/6 solution… and there is one. We will spend five weeks studying Dr. Matthew Sleeth’s book, “24/6” on finding space in life for a true Sabbath experience. This is not about guilt… this is about freedom. Time is God’s gift to you and Sabbath is how we receive it. So join us and get back the time God wants you to have.
Here, There, & Everywhere
Sunday, November 22
This year’s Thanksgiving offering is designated to three areas. Here: To accelerate giving to our mortgage and free up funds to expand the ministry God has given us in this region. There: Giving towards our church plants: Simple Church, NewDay, and Shadowland. Everywhere: Giving to our Great Commission Fund that supports over 800 Alliance international workers.
Bless Our Community This Christmas
Booker T Washington Elementary School
Many of their families face financial hardships, and rely on school meal programs to feed their children. We have offered to supply Christmas dinners to families who have been identified by their staff who would be blessed by such a gift. We have a set menu, and would ask you to purchase these food items for a specific family, costing approximately $30. Pledge your meal today so we know how many families we can offer to assist.
Common Good Christmas Store
Embrace Church offers after school programing for kids in North Lexington, helping with homework and mentoring. Through their Christmas Store, families are given the opportunity to purchase donated gifts at 80-90% off retail price. Wish lists are collected and we will have the opportunity to fill some of those lists for these families, offering them a dignified experience to purchase gifts for their kids.
Contact Sue Cook at firstname.lastname@example.org or complete a connection card and place in an offering plate.
