Sunday Morning Opportunities:
“How Then Shall We Live? American Society, Race, and the Church.”
Sunday, January 8, 10:45 am, Lower Auditorium
Discussion Leaders: Brandon Spencer and Steve Ybarrolla
The last few years have demonstrated quite clearly that we do not live in a “post-racial” society. Seemingly every week there is another incident which reminds us that “race” is still very much with us. What is the cause of such racial tensions and how can we, as the church, be used by God as a means of understanding and reconciliation? Come and join the discussion.
Open Word Class: Acts of the Apostles
TODAY, 10:45 am, Lower Auditorium
Today’s Lesson: Acts 27-28
Today’s Leader: Cliff Iler
Living the Dream- Young-Married Couples Class
10:45 am, Dining Room
Come join us for a relaxing, discussion oriented class where we emphasize fellowship with each other and our creator as key to healthy marital relationships.
Word For the Year 2017
Our church family word for 2017 is “openness”. Openness to God’s Word, His Spirit and the leading of the Lord. Openness to growth and change and progress on our journey as a church. Prayfully consider what your own personal word for this year might be! If you have a story of your personal word for the year, we would love to hear it, please send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here, There and Everywhere Offering
Many thanks to everyone who gave to our “Here, There and Everywhere” offering. We received just over $126, 000. Your generosity is a great blessing to your church, our church plants in central Kentucky, and our missionaries around the globe.
Want to get involved?
Start from the beginning! We are in need of adults for our toddler class once a month. If interested, fill out a Connection Card.
In case of inclement weather, please check for service delays or cancellation information on TV channel 18, 27 or 36, radio station WJMM 99.1 FM, or the church website www.faclex.com.
There are hearing devices available in the back of the sanctuary at the sound booth. See an usher for assistance.
Joseph: A Story About a Family
Pastor Steve’s book, Joseph: A Story About a Family, is available to purchase at Guest Services. We are selling the books at a discounted price of $10 for our congregation. All profits go to the Great Commission Fund.
