Text: Nehemiah 1:1-11
I have seen the future and you’re not going to like it.
In 2010 the US received over 32,000 Christian missionaries from foreign countries, coming here to spread the gospel.

Her walls are broken and crumbling still more. Her gates are burned and she is wide open to anything.
“When the world was created, it received ten measures of beauty. Nine fell upon Jerusalem … one on the rest of the earth.”
Her walls … the reputation of God … lie in ruins. Her gates … her faith, never restored, still burned with fire.
You and I and the church are meant to be walking advertisements for God.
Question: is anyone buying what we are advertising? Apparently not.
We ate the culture’s table and in so doing we nibbled our way into a new and different kind of lostness.
The repentance which follows confession always shows up in a change of behavior or attitude.
Spiritual refreshing is always a positive consequence of repentance.
If you want to move from health to strength you’ve gotta make a plan that includes repentance and a return to first things.
