The Christmas season will soon be upon us, a time when we once again anticipate the birth of our Savior and celebrate the hope and joy that are ours because God IS with us.

Some of the ways you can celebrate Jesus throughout the month of December with your FAC family are listed below. Many of these times to gather represent traditions in the annual life of our church, while others may present an opportunity to start a new tradition. As you make plans for the season, be on the lookout for people who are not aware that God is with us and invite them to the celebrations.

  • Birthday Party for Jesus – December 1, 10am – Families with preschoolers (ages 2-5) are invited to start the season with crafts, games, a Christmas story, and birthday cake!
  • Adult Sunday Morning Class: Advent for Everyone – December 2, 9, 16, 10:45am – This interactive class will cover traditions associated with Advent and how its meaning can be incorporated into our individual lives and our families. Come prepared for lively sharing of traditions, food tastings, and encouragement in encountering Jesus in our daily living.
  • Women’s event – December 4, 7pm – come celebrate the Prince of Peace together as our women of all ages gather for worship, testimonies of our Lord’s peace in the midst of life’s challenges, and refreshments. A love gift will be collected for Great Commission Women projects which minister to orphans and women.
  • Christmas celebrations for Kids Exploration Station, Middle School, High School, and Young Adults Ministry will be held throughout the month. Check out the ministry newsletters, faclex.com, and social media to find out more.
  • Christmas Eve services – December 24, 3:30pm and 5:30pm – please pray about specific neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends you can invite to one of these special services that are being designed with our guests in mind.

May this Christmas season be marked by a fresh sense of the Lord’s presence.
