Christmas…a time for family, food, fun, and stress. The Scott and Styer Families are all in Ohio. So, that helps with traveling, and we can be all together and enjoy a pause in our regular schedules. Kids like it for lack of homework. But one rather looming issue that often comes with this holiday is that need to perform and keep up with Pinterest- perfection. With that often comes exhaustion and fatigue.

A tradition started at FAC is the annual women’s Christmas event. Instead of adding it to your growing list of things that need to be checked off, the team has prayed and planned with the hopes of making it a time to come and refresh and celebrate.

We need to be reminded of this verse found in Luke 2:10:

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”

JOY is the theme on December 7th in the gymnasium from 7:00-9:00 P.M.. All ladies ages birth and above are invited to attend and enjoy an evening of celebration reminding us what this season is truly signify. Worship will be led by New City, our church plant in Downtown Lexington. Activities including a photo booth will be available to capture your anticipation of this season. Different ladies from all age groups will be sharing from their heart about the JOY of this season. Natalie’s Sisters will be contributing an update about their ministry in Lexington, and we will be collecting a love offering for them. And, of course, food will be provided to tempt your taste buds.

Know that your holiday can be infused with a supernatural kind of celebration, a JOY that permeates even the darkest of corners.

For unto us a child is born,

Unto us a Son is given.

(Isaiah 9:6)

Glad tidings of GREAT JOY!!
