The Message is Hope

First Alliance Church

Holy Week begins on Sunday. Throughout the previous weeks of Lent, we have been exploring God’s redemptive work in our lives. This comes to a climax as we journey toward the cross, the grave, the resurrection and the ascension of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus! He is our victorious King, and because of His Victory, death, hell, sin, and the grave have been defeated – not only in theological abstraction but in reality for each of us in our own lives. There are several opportunities to celebrate and engage His victory during Holy Week. You will want to make space for these in your schedule:

Palm Sunday Worship – 9:00 & 10:45 am

We will have a processional with palms this coming Sunday. If you would like to march, please meet in the atrium 10 minutes before the start of either morning worship service (8:50 and 10:35). Folks will be there to guide the parade, celebrating Jesus as our Messiah and King!

During the morning worship services, we will be distributing small invitations for you to use to invite friends and family to the Easter Celebration. Begin thinking and praying about who the Lord would have you invite!

Maundy Thursday Communion Service – 7:00 – 8:00 pm

Join us in the sanctuary at 7:00 pm as we reflect on the Last Supper, the Garden of Gethsemane, and Christ’s Betrayal and Crucifixion. Look forward to opportunities to surrender your burdens and sins and receive God’s cleansing, forgiveness, and empowerment!

Good Friday Noon Prayer – 12:00 -1:00 pm

The sanctuary will be open for personal prayer. Feel free to come and go as you are able.

Easter Sunday Worship – 8:00, 9:30, & 11:00am

The most important day on the Christian calendar will be a great celebration at First Alliance. We welcome our new pastor and family, Paul Smith, as he preaches in all three services. We also hope to welcome many visitors on this special day. The gospel will be presented clearly, and we will rejoice together in the great victory of our Lord!

  • Childcare will be provided for birth to kindergarten during the 9:30 & 11:00 services only.
  • Middle school youth will meet during the 11:00 service.
  • No high school ministry.
  • No adult classes.
