Miracles Follow the Plow

Text: Hosea 10:2
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. And I subscribe to the second.”- Albert Einstein
This is the season when farmers get religious. This is when the farmer prays in the rain.
“Break up your unplowed ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers righteousness on you.” (Hosea 10:12)
Everywhere God’s people live and move and have their being they will be givers and bringers of life. How? Well, life always follows the plow.
It will never be fruitful, never be productive, never be bountiful. Never. Why? Because it is afraid of the plow. And miracles only follow the plow.
“People argue about the miracles of the Bible because there are no miracles in their lives.” – Henry David Thoreau
Everyday life giving miracles follow their lives…not through heroic effort but simply because the plow has done its work.
“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” (Psalm 126:5-6)
