Text: Acts 1:1-11

Do you think Jesus ever had a favorite chair?

He ascended into heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He was a suffering savior who became a risen savior who is now our ruling savior.

As believers I find we tend to think more about the cross of Christ than the crown of Christ.

The Cross without the Crown would mean defeat for the Son of Man. The Crown without the cross would mean spiritual defeat for the sons of men.

Would you stretch out your hand to get rid of your children or figure out how to love them and lead them?

So He is the Lord against all appearances it seems.

He rules with nail pierced hands so he can comfort your nail pierced heart.

I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God– John 20:17

But just as the resurrection proved the deity of Christ, Pentecost proved the ascension of Christ.
