Speaker: Steve Elliott

Text: John 20:1-18

Quotes:

Monday: it might be the first day of the week but it seems like the last day for hope.

It’s like all that she once was has been lost to a life full of Mondays.

Love held John there just as love held her there.

Love looks for ways to express itself when every other way seems blocked or every other door seems closed.

And it all happened in a turn… all it took was a second or two…a simple turn.

He has the last word on your life and mine and it’s this: I love you and there is more to life than a string of never ending Mondays.

Eve found death in the garden of life and Mary Magdalene found life in the garden of death.

I believe this is the sound God’s voice makes in a world that has tried to explain Him away.

I believe this is the sound God’s voice makes in a world that has tried to explain Him away.

The way they hear him best is through the restlessness and incompleteness and emptiness of missing Him.

“You don’t love him, for if you did, you would paint him better.” Gustave Doré – 1832 – 1883
